Hudson's Hope

Fort St John area

May 2/04

Written by Joebear

On Sunday, we went to Hudson's Hope for a ride. It was raining all the way out there, and when we went to unload it rained even harder. About a half hour into the ride it stopped raining, and cleared up some. It was nice for the rest of the day. When we arrived home and unloaded the bikes, I had just gotten in and Eugene said it was snowing outside!

Richard's bike slipped a rear hub, so he went around with only one wheel drive. He did very well, but I had to push him up a few hills. Eugene went up a steep hill in the moraine, and we stopped him from backing down just before he rolled it. I showed him how to back down safely, and then told him no more hills. Wade rolled his 450 while doing doughnuts on the beach.

Olga was doubling with me and loves it when I hit jumps (tiny ones) and do wheelies. So every time i took off, I wheelied away!!

I got Eugene to go back and forth through the sand and water till he made a mudhole and got stuck. Then I broke my winch line trying to get him out. Wade ended up pulling him out with his Honda.

We roasted hot dogs at the coal mine, checked out Bullhead Mountain, and played around at Williston Lake. Took a fair bit of video footage of scenery and playing around. All in all it was a great day!
